Hi, I'm Khoi!
I’m a freelance product designer seeking Summer 2026 internship opportunities.
I recently graduated from UC San Diego (B.S., Cognitive Science: Design & Interaction) and I’m pursuing my M.S. at the USC Iovine and Young Academy in Integrated Design, Business & Technology.
My path started junior year of high school as a marketing intern at a non-profit. I had the opportunity to work closely with industry product designers and was immediately fascinated by how they blended technical and creative skill sets to turn ideas into real, usable products.
My interdisciplinary skill sets drove me to pursue a career in Product Design. Alongside my experience in front-end development, I bring together my technical background, creative mind, and love for people to be an advocate for real-users while solving problems inventively.
Earlier this year, I worked on a large-scale system redesign for the San Diego Public Library that saw reduction in double-booking errors and improved staff work flow. In my most recent project, I designed the brand identity and website for a local cafe named Labora Cafe that attracted 1.1k unique visitors and 2.6k page views within the first 2 weeks of website launch.
Five years from now, I hope to be a part of a team of engineers, designers, and PMs building the future of technology. In the meantime, I’m am dedicated on shipping impactful work.
When I’m not on Figma, I’m chasing good lighting with my camera. In undergrad, I spent weekends shooting graduation photos for my peers. Capturing these valuable moments kept my work human and why my design is rooted in empathy.
I solve problems because I care about the person on the other side of the screen.
